These past few years have been really hard for me, but I've finally gotten a chance to settle down and live life comfortably. I currently live in Pennsylvania at my new boyfriend's house and I'm loving it! He bought me a year-long DA subscription for my birthday, so I can't help but feel obligated to post at least a few things. The town I'm in is small and quiet so I can work on my artwork in peace. I have a big stack of random things I'll be scanning in soon, plus there's some digital artwork I've been keeping to myself for a while.
I went to AnthroCon this year and I had a great time! I got to meet some of my favorite artists such as Synnabar, KKitty, Spunky, Dark Natasha, Meezer and more. I spent some of my time doodling up free con badges for whoever wanted them, then scribbled away in people's sketchbooks. Just to hear them squee in delight and be pleased with the art I gave them made me reminisce the days I was a lot more active within the anthro art community. I think the trip to AC really helped me regain my confidence and lift me out of this depressing art slump that's lasted over a year.
I currently run a business on a game called SecondLife. I won't have time to post artwork too often, but maybe once a week.
I know I said I wouldn't post here anymore, and that was about two years ago when I started feeling really down about my artwork. My life was falling apart, and for months I was literally one paycheck away from living out on the streets. I had to get out of the relationship I was in and move elsewhere. I was tired of having to go without food for days and passing out, and I grew bitter with my flaky ex as it became apparent he had an unhealthy obsession with anime and video games.
Compared to where I was living back in Cali, I'm in heaven and I'm loving every moment of it. My new boyfriend is honest, responsible, straight to the point, spoils me with attention, loves me to death, AND is also a furry. I hit the jackpot with this one! Call me infatuated, and I probably am, but I feel really comfortable being by his side. We've been together for over a year and things have only gotten better. I hope this love lasts for all eternity. He's my inspiration and the one who keeps prodding me to draw more. ^^
